1. Research your keywords and phrases
You may think that everyone will search for your products under "widget", but test that theory and you might find that more people are actually searching on "widgets" or "gizmos". Many search engines provide tools that will show you the most popular search terms that people are using, and to help you define a list of keywords and phrases relevant to your content. Remember that getting ranked highly for a single word is going to be very difficult, but your chances are greatly increased if you use short phrases. For example, "logo designers cambridge" works really well for us.
